Due to recent Distracted Driver Laws that have been changing over the past year in many North American States and Provinces, we have decided to add a new default setting to all new The Original Dash Cam Dash Cams.  We have added a new default setting, (active on all new cameras out of the box by default) that we call Safe Driver Mode.

The mode goes by different setting names in the different models; However they are all safe driving modes by a slightly different name.  For example in the new TwisterX (4SK909X) it is under the Menu settings LCD  On or Off.  On the 100 series models it goes by the setting name of Screen Saver. In all situations it may be switched off or on, but as mentioned previously it is set to On by default to help alleviate yet another distraction while driving.

So if you have or get one of our newest models be assured it is working just fine when the screen shuts off after a minute of use.  Once the dash cams enter the safe driving mode there is a small red LED light that remains illuminated or flashes on some models to indicate it is still recording despite safe driver mode being active.  The image to the left is a card that is in the box of some of the newer models, but not all.

We hope that this information helps out and clears up any questions yourself or another user may have had.  Thanks for visiting today and checking out the Buzz and Happy Safe Driving to all of you from Wit and the entire 4Sight Team.
